BaldwinCounty SCORE was founded in 1998 as SCORE Chapter 0630.  As the winner of the 2006 Alabama Chapter of the Year, we are an active chapter and have more than 20 volunteers. The counselors of Baldwin are experienced business owners and managers who volunteer their experience and knowledge to help potential and existing small business owners achieve success.

Client service is the objective of BaldwinCounty and our volunteer business counselors are dedicated to providing the best possible service. Face-to-face or online, the counselors of BaldwinCounty are able and willing to aid in the success of small business. SCORE counselors provide you with in-depth, industry-specific business assistance to help evaluate a business idea or plan, stimulate business growth and ensure long-term stability.

A Greeting From Our Chair
Greetings!  SCORE is a national volunteer organization of business experts who give entrepreneurs real-world business advice and know-how. SCORE counselors represent every business area.  Some have worked as executives of Fortune 500 companies, while others are small business owners themselves.  The Baldwin County SCORE chapter, with locations in Fairhope and Foley, has members from all business backgrounds including accounting, law, marketing, investment banking, operations, finance, franchising and manufacturing. 

SCORE counselors share their experience and advice through confidential one-to-one and team mentoring.    SCORE volunteers will also visit a client’s place of business for on-site consultation.  An entrepreneur’s relationship with SCORE can last just one or two sessions, or for a number of years, based on individual needs.  SCORE has the support of many area banks, as they help clients prepare sound business plans and better position them to secure financing.

In addition to weekly counseling sessions, SCORE conducts numerous workshops and seminars throughout the year, addressing the issues and challenges facing small businesses.  To take advantage of the services SCORE offers, contact your nearest Chamber of Commerce or visit the SCORE web site at www.baldwin.scorechapter.org.

• Counseling in Fairhope is held at the Fairhope Campus of the University of South Alabama in their classroom complex situated at Summit and St James, Fairhope.  To arrange an appointment in Fairhope, contact the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce office at 251-928-6388.
• Counseling in Foley is held at the Starkey Self Storage at 8141 Highway 59 South in Foley. To arrange an appointment in Foley, contact the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce office at 251-943-3291.
